SOMERS, CT – Paul Bowler, a son, brother, and friend, who lost his life in a rollover accident in Somers, Connecticut, on January 14, 2025, He was 42.

Paul’s untimely death has left an immense void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him. Known for his kind nature, sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty, Paul was a man whose presence brightened any room he entered, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Born on November 2, 1982, in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, Paul was the beloved son of Thomas and Susan Bowler. He grew up in Stafford Springs, where he developed lifelong friendships and became an integral part of his community. Paul attended Stafford High School, where he was well-liked by classmates for his athletic ability and friendly, outgoing nature. Those who knew him from school remember him as someone who could always make others laugh. He had a knack for lifting people’s spirits and was known for his genuine kindness and big heart.

After high school, Paul worked in various trades, establishing himself as a hardworking and dedicated individual. He found his true calling as a skilled mechanic, a craft he enjoyed greatly. His coworkers admired his problem-solving skills, strong work ethic, and willingness to lend a hand whenever needed. Paul took immense pride in his work, always striving to do his best, no matter the task at hand. His technical expertise and commitment to excellence earned him the respect of everyone who worked alongside him.

Outside of his professional life, Paul had a passion for cars, motorcycles, and the outdoors. He was an avid motor enthusiast, spending much of his free time working on vehicles, attending car shows, and going on weekend rides with friends. Whether it was a long motorcycle ride through the countryside or tinkering with a project car in his garage, Paul found peace and joy in the world of motorsports. He also loved spending time outdoors—hiking, fishing, and camping were some of his favorite pastimes. The Connecticut countryside was his sanctuary, and he cherished the simple pleasures of life in nature.

Above all, Paul was a family man. He was a devoted son to Thomas and Susan, who supported him throughout his life and celebrated his many accomplishments. He was also a loving brother to his siblings, Amanda and Brian. Paul’s family meant the world to him, and he cherished the time he spent with them. He had a close-knit relationship with his extended family, often gathering for holiday celebrations, birthdays, and other special occasions. Paul’s generous spirit, sense of humor, and deep love for his family will be remembered fondly by those who knew him best.

Paul is survived by his parents, Thomas and Susan Bowler; his siblings, Amanda Bowler and Brian Bowler; his maternal grandmother, Helen Anderson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Mary Bowler, and his maternal grandfather, Richard Anderson.

A memorial service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held on January 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Stafford Springs Congregational Church. Family and friends are invited to attend, share memories, and reflect on the profound impact Paul had on their lives. A reception will follow at the church hall, providing a chance to connect with others who shared in Paul’s love and laughter. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Connecticut Brain Injury Alliance, a cause that Paul cared deeply about.

Paul Bowler’s passing has left a deep and painful loss for all who knew him. He was a kind, compassionate man whose life was full of promise, and his absence will be felt by many.
